Tom Fletcher: from a £2 ticket to keys in my hand

I bought a £2 ticket because the car photos looked unbelievable. I read the skill question twice, submitted, and assumed that would be the end of it.

Sunday’s draw proved otherwise. My ticket won, the live stream showed the process, and the follow-up email arrived before I finished celebrating.

Collection was flexible: deliver to my address or pick up near Birmingham. I chose delivery. Insurance and handover paperwork were explained in plain English — no jargon, no rush.

Looking back, I should have had my driving licence scan ready and my calendar clear for the verification call. That would have saved a few hours of back-and-forth.
